Post Post subject: Robinson admits to Spurs pressure

England goalkeeper Paul Robinson admits everyone at White Hart Lane is under pressure as new coach Juande Ramos assesses his squad.

Robinson has suffered a dip in form and there have been claims Ramos is seeking a replacement for the 28-year-old.

He said: "It is like your first day at a new club. Everyone is on trial again - it is a new start for everybody.

"We will see what happens and if he makes any signings. I am confident I am number one and it will stay that way."

Robinson also revealed Ramos has been working on improving Spurs defensively in a bid to move them away from the wrong end of the Premier League.

He said: "We have been working defensively the last few days and trying to shore up at the back.

"The clean sheet against Blackpool reflects that but we have a lot more work to do.

"I think everyone saw a Tottenham team starting to get a bit of confidence and play with a bit of freedom, that is the way the manager wants us to play."

Robinson said Ramos has been communicating with the players in English, despite using Spanish in his media conferences.

"Juande has communicated very well, a lot better than people think he can," said Robinson. "He has an aura and confidence about him and hopefully that will breed through the team."

Robinson is a muppet and lucky to be the man in possession of the Spurs shirt let alone the England one.

Ramos will more than likely get rid of him once he's had a good look at the squad - maybe being dropped will lure him out of his dip in form (although he's always made mistakes).

I really cant see him getting dropped from the team for a long run. Hes got way too much class the manager will probably do it as a shock tactic to get him working hard again.

Robinson is a good player but this year start of Spurs is also effected on his performance and this season he considers many goals because of some poor defending of spurs and some mistake made by Robinson. I am sure once they got few clean sheets, his performance would be better.
